10 businesses we didn’t know owned by successful Filipino celebrities

The showbiz industry might be full talented actors and actresses entertaining each and everyone of their fans whenever they appear on TV. From being a host of a talk show to being a big time movie star, many people think that is the only thing a celebrity can ever do.

But there are celebrities who are also capable of handling a certain business and are capable of something besides the thing they are known to do as a celebrity. Fame and popularity is what makes a person relevant to the show business, but oftentimes, the limelight wouldn’t always be on their favor.

Youtube Channel IReeview listed 10 celebrities that venture into the business world. In no particular order, here are they.

1. Marvin Agustin

Marvin is the co-owner of a big Japanese chain restaurants like Sumo Sam and John and Yoko. He and his partners also recently opened 7th Japanese restaurant known as Oishi!

2. Sharon Cuneta

The Megastar herself got in to entrepreneurship as she opened a sleek restaurant located in Greenbelt alongside her husband Sen. Kiko Pangilinan called Mesa. The resto offers traditional Filipino dish but with a modern twist.

3. Shamcey Supsup

The former Miss Universe candidate opened a restaurant called Pedro ‘N Coi and is located at the Fisher Mall’s 3rd floor.

4. Karylle

Karylle owns a KTV Resto Bar called Center Stage and has two branches located at Makati and Pasay City. She also kiosk in Greenhills called The Mango Farm a food-cart that sells fruit shakes, juices and other blend cold refreshments.

5. Jackie Rice

The Kapuso actress also got in to the food business as she just opened a 24-hour eatery known as Pares De Manila alongside her partner Andrew Lopez.

6. Erich Gonzales

Erich owns an all day breakfast restaurant that offers traditional American, Korean, Asian Fusion and Filipino food called The Breakfast Club (TBC).

7. Georgina Wilson

Georgina Wilson co-owns and is also the marketing director of Sunnies Studios. Sunnies is an eyewear brand that offers a hundred of affordable designs to choose from.

8. Sam Milby

Sam Milby is a co-owner of Prost Braumester, a German pub located in the Fort. Not only that, but also co-owns Third District, a coffee shop in Katipunan, Quezon City.

9. Jodi Sta. Maria

Jodi owns a gastropub known as Rue Bourbon Bar and Restaurant. Its setting is inspired from the street of New Orleans and serves American-styled food. She also owns the Happy Barn Milkshake Factory.

10. Jericho Rosales

Mr. Pogi has also ventured himself into the world of business. He’s into grooming that’s why he put up a barber shop called Talas Manilenyo back in 2015. However, he may technically not own Kuya J Restaurant, him being the official ambassador of the said restaurant somehow established him to be the ‘J’ of the restaurant’s name; resulting to people thinking he owns the restaurant chain.
