10 secrets of flight attendants that are never shared to passengers

It’s really a great feeling to be able to board on a plane. It’s a different kind of travelling where there’s no traffic at all. Although the fare is really high but it’s just good enough to rest while travelling. Plus you would also meet flight attendants who are just so gorgeous and beautiful.

But do you know the secrets about flight attendants? Here are 10 tips coming from Bright side channel YouTube on how to get that maximum comfort while on board.

1. You’re allowed to ask for more food

Since the food on an aircraft is delivered pre-made, it has a short shelf life. All excess foods are immediately discarded after the flight and sometimes these are eaten by the crews. So, if you’re on board and you needed more, don’t be shy to ask for more.

2. Check the presence of the life vest before taking off

It’s a fact that some passengers would steal life jackets from under their seats as a souvenir. So, for safety reasons, always check your seat before the flight to make sure the life vest is there and not stolen by some sentimental kleptomaniac.

3. If you accidentally smoked, use the ashtrays

Despite the fact that smoking on board is strictly prohibited, there are still ashtrays in the toilets. And people still smoke despite the fines. And it’s better that they put cigarettes out in the ashtray rather than in a trash can.

4. Don’t be squeamish during the flight

Most airlines only do a “superficial cleanup” after the flight. Blankets and pillows aren’t washed, just refolded. Food trays are not even washed. The seat trays are wiped, the carpets are cleaned, but you cannot really be sure of the previous passenger in your seat who might gotten sick. So, it’s always better to use your own pillows and blankets.

5. The lavatory door can be opened from the outside

Flight attendants usually have their keys in case a passenger is locked in the lavatory. Many aircraft have also installed the Door Lock Mechanism under the “No Smoking” sign on the toilet door. If you raise the flap with the cigarette image and turn the bolt, the door will open.

6. Be the last person to board

When all the passengers have taken their seats, you can immediately see which seat is free. Also since the door behind you is already closed, there will be no more passengers gives you the opportunity to get any empty seat on board.

7. Avoid too much alcohol

Flight attendants would warn that one glass in the sky is equal to two on the ground. And it’s true since altitude affects blood in such a way that alcohol during the flight affect you more than on the ground.

8. Avoid the bulkhead seats

Remember the rule that passengers with babies on board most likely take the bulkhead seats. This happens because it’s easier and safer to place baby carrier there. So if you love screaming neighbors during the flight, you know where to take a seat.

9. Drink only bottled water

The number of bacteria in water samples from 14 of the most popular airlines was hundreds of times higher than the ¬†established standards. So it’s better to drink only bottled liquid on board. Avoid tea, coffee, and water from the sink.

10. Don’t applaud at the end of the flight

In some countries, passengers would give ardent applause to the pilot for landing right on the airstrip. Perhaps people are showing gratitude to the crew or the joy of coming back home, but the crew may consider this gesture insulting. The flight is not a roulette game, this is their job. People who travel a lot know this and don’t clap as much.
