A Russian man named Dmitry Luchin, 21 has been accused of cannibalism after he allegedly killed a woman he dated, fried her brains and even drank her blood.
The victim was only identified as Olga B, 45 was reportedly beaten to death by Luchin on March 8, 2017 which is the International Women’s Day.
Police reports say that Luchin hit the victim over her head with a wine bottle for at least 25 times before he stabbed her on the chest four times. He then cut-off the victim’s ears and nipples as alleged.
In a report by Daily Mail, authorities assigned to the case said that Luchin confessed to his crime but a trial is scheduled for next year where he is yet to officially enter a plea.
Meanwhile, the interrogators released transcripts of conversation they had with the suspect.
In the papers, he is recorded as saying: “I liked the taste of her brain. I decided to give it another try. Then I drained some of her blood into a glass, and picked up more that had spilled onto the floor. I needed blood to drink with my food.
Six hours after killing her he left her flat taking her tablet computer, a can of hair spray and 150 roubles (£1.90), investigators say.
Luchin, from Valdai, was known as a talented poet with a high IQ level before carrying out his alleged crimes.
There were hints of a darker side online, however, as he subscribed to a page called ‘World of maniacs and serial killers’.
Evidence also shows he was a fan of Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer, known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, who raped, murdered and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991.
If proven guilty, Luchin may face life imprisonment.
