Extra large frog caught in Texas and frightens netizens

Hunting is the practice of killing or trapping animals, or pursuing or tracking them with the intent of doing so. This kind of work is done by Hunters and it is their way of living. This is commonly done by humans for food, trade, and recreation, to remove predators that are dangerous to human or domestic animals.

Texas is one of the place who has some good hunters. Just recently the Facebook page of South Texas Hunting Association posted photos of the monstrous frog being carried by the hunter who caught it, Markcuz Rangel.

“Wanted to share a monster bull frog we got yesterday afternoon at one of our fishing ponds in South Texas Ranch located in Batesville TX 13lb (6kg) monster frog!!! #stxha”

Monster bullfrog carried by the hunter which is said to be real.

The netizens went crazy upon seeing this unusual kind of a bullfrog. People were even commenting not to go to Texas anymore as they were afraid of seeing the same kind of creature. But there are some who felt pity with what they’ve done on it, they were mad at the hunter for killing such when it does nothing bad at all.

But netizens were debating if the photo was for real, or just another edited photo to catch online viewers’ attention?

The spokesman for the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, Steve Lightfoot, confirmed that the photo was real but warned people not to believe that monster frogs exist in Texas.

“It’s not as bigly as it appears. [It’s an] optical illusion created by extending frog toward the camera — similar to what you see with fishermen holding up fish to make them appear larger. Still a big bullfrog, though,” Lightfoot explained.

Optical illusion may really had helped for us to see the frog the larger way. It weigh 6kg, so it doesn’t really look as big as in the picture. May it be for real or not, but it’s really one of a kind bullfrog.
