Just because of the influence of an alcohol and drugs, a person can do evil things even if he/she didn’t mean it. Drugs has really nothing good to give to anyone, except for those who are having it for good intention of course. Because of these drugs, a lot of good and innocent people are already affected.
Just like with the recent news that comes out, about how the suspect had confessed the crime he had just done. A 26-year-old construction worker on Thursday had admitted to rape 2 among the 5 members of a family that he and his companions had murdered inside a house in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
The suspects were Carmelito Ibañez and aliases “Tony” and “Inggo” wherein, Ibañez said that they were under the influence of illegal drugs and alcohol when they killed Auring Carlos, her daughter Estrella and three grandchildren ages 1,5, and 11.
Ibañez even said in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN that what they have done is nothing, and that it was only a sort of a “tripping”. They have only thought to get in the house and they didn’t mean in doing so. And he raped both Auring and Estrella at the spur of the moment and not also intended to do so.
“Wala lang po, parang trip-trip lang… Naisipan lang pasukin, ganoon. Hindi naman po sinadya namin na talagang — kusa lang pong pinasok.”
And when asked about the children they have killed, he said that he knew already the children who sometimes watched television in his sister’s house and not on their intention to kill them.
“Hindi po namin alam na may bata doon, ano na po kasi sa droga… Iyung mga bata, nakaka-meet ko rin po iyun. Minsan po kasi, nanood iyun sa kabila, sa ano ng ate ko, bahay”
Ibañez also said that he can no longer recall much of the crime except that they have killed the two women before the children. He added that he and his companions tool P150 worth of shabu during a drinking spree before the murders. And according to him, he surrendered to the authorities because he regrets the crime he had done and still hoping for the family of the victims to forgive him.
Authorities are still searching for Ibañez’ companions and San Jose del Monte Mayor Arthur Robes and Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado have offered P200,000 in exchange for information that would lead to the suspects’ arrest.
