An overseas Filipino worker who is now at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is now asking for anyone who could help her get out of the cruel situation that she is in. The said OFW was identified as Lilibeth Rodriguez, according to her she was reapeatedly attempted to be raped by the brother of her employer.

Through her personal Facebook account, she left a post where she is asking for help from anyone. The said post was accompanied by a disturbing video which she secretly recorded as a proof that she suffers from maltreatment from her employer.

“Di ko po alam kung san pa ko huhugot ng lakas para mai-save ko sarili ko, ‘yan po kapatid ni madam ilang beses na ako pinag-tangkaan. Sa makaka-panuod po, kayo na po bahala. Di ‘ko maipasa sa messenger para ma e-save baka kunin na cp ko tomorrow. Isa nato ebedensya na dapat makuha na ako dito,” (“I no longer know where to get strength to save myself, the brother of my employer has tried to rape me for several times already. To those who will be able to watch this video, my life is in your hands. I can no longer send the video via messenger for it to be saved because my cellphone might be embargoed tomorrow. May this video serve as an evidence so that I can be rescued here.”) Lilibeth posted.

Here is the full video uploaded by Rodriguez:

Meanwhile, Rodriguez’ husband tried to seek the help of a media outlet via the Tulfo in Action show. The said show helped Rodriguez be rescued from where she works.

Through the collaborative efforts of the organizers of the show and concerned government agencies, Ofwupdate reported that Rodriguez was finally rescued from the cruel hands of her employer.

Many other OFWs have also been reported to have suffered from the same fate like Rodriguez. However, it was a fortunate event that people who are kind-hearted are there to show their support to her by sharing the video she uploaded and managing to get the attention of proper authorities.
