Over the past week, Netizens was shocked when the news of Atom Araullo leaving the Kapamilya network was revealed.
Speculations as to what is the real reason why Atom is leaving also surfaced.
However, the real reason was revealed by Atom himself on his farewell message to his co-workers in the early morning news program of ABS-CBN, Umagang Kay Ganda (UKG).
Atom announced his decision and said that he wants to pursue opportunities outside of the network.
So, marami, marami akong susubukan,” he stated.
He even further said that his management is supportive of his decision.
Atom has been a part of the network for the past 13 years. He started in ABS-CBN’s Studio 23 in 2004.
ABS-CBN also issued an official statement and wishes Atom the best in his future endeavors.
“ABS-CBN has allowed journalist Atom Araullo to explore new interests in film, broadcast and digital media outside of the company. Atom says the training and exposure he got from the network as reporter and TV host have equipped him to try out other opportunities in the media industry here and abroad,” a press release from the network said.
Meanwhile, on his Instagram account, Atom posted a lengthy farewell message to the management of ABS-CBN. Read below:
Working with ABS-CBN for over a decade has been an amazing adventure. However, the time has come to explore emerging opportunities and challenges beyond the organization.
