Before Sandara Park reached her full potential as one of the biggest names in K-Pop history as a member of the Korean girl group 2NE1, she was first seen as a contestant on celebrity search Star Circle Quest back in early 2000s. Park made a career in the Philippines before she went away and achieved more success in her home country.
It seems Sandara never failed to look back on her roots as she proved how much she loves the Philippines. In one episode of the Korean travelling variety show known as “Battle Trip”, Sandara chose to feature the Philippines.
The Korean pop-star showcased the beauty of the Philippines when she traveled to Taal Volcano crater lake and the Balicasag Island in Bohol, one of the most prestigious diving sites in the world. She also expressed her love for the country as she debunked all the rumors regarding the country’s unsafe environment.
During the show’s interview portion, Sandara said the following, “One of the reasons why I wanted to introduce Philippines to the Battle Trip is that people always ask me about the Philippines. ‘Isn’t it dangerous? I hear public safety is poor?’. They always ask me that unfortunate incidents are shown in the news. I wanted to show that it’s not dangerous at all.”
