Slugs are tough-skinned terrestrial mollusk that typically lacks a shell and secretes a film of mucus for protection and when some of these creatures enter your home, you should immediately call an exterminator at once.
It may sound crazy and all that, but the New Guinea flatworm is one of the latest menaces to make its way into places where they are less wanted. The slimy mucus appears to have dark colored upper body along with an orange stripe on their back.
These worm like creatures can cause damage to human beings if we are exposed to it even just a little bit. They are also believed to have the ability to consume rats and while dining, they pass on lungworm infections which is not good.
The description of their presence when it is reported on the news can sound like something straight out of a low budget science fiction movie, but unfortunately for us, they are as threatening as they were described.
They were first found in Miami, Florida and local agriculture and wildlife officials have launched an investigation into their habits.
