Son Of A Farmer Got Accepted At Harvard University

It is both an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to go to any prestigious school in the country, much more if you are chosen to go to an international school where various leaders all over the globe have attended and left a mark in history.

Harvard University is a private Ivy League research university in Cambridge, Massachusetts, established in 1636, whose history, influence, and wealth have made it one of the world’s most prestigious universities. Thinking of that, students at this school are expected to be fortunate and came from a family of means, but you’ll be surprise knowing that a mere son of a farmer got accepted and is about to start studying there in 2018.

7th of the 9 children, Romnick Blanco seems to be the hope his family needed when he decided to continue his studies instead of dropping out of school just like his other siblings. Romnick travels on foot by hiking the hills of Sierra Madre for 2 hours just to have the opportunity to go to school.

It seems like his perseverance was all worth it for he has been chosen as of the 5% of applicants accepted in the prestigious school Harvard University. It is a place where successful men such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and former US President Barrack Obama attended to.

It is said that Romnick has received a letter from the prestigious school and will be taking advantage of a full scholarship to Harvard covering tuition, accommodation, plane tickets and clothing as ISM (International School Manila) claimed.

This amazing blessing that I have received will be looked upon by many as an achievement, but if I were to be very honest, I truthfully believe that what happened to me was nothing short of a miracle,” – Romnick said.

In addition, he stated that many of his achievements may be forgotten by lots of people, but what his aiming for is for them to know how GreenEarth as helped him and his community.

With Romnick being accepted to the Ivy League University, his family, friends, and townspeople in Bulacan saw a ray of light that could change their life forever.

The young man is set to fly for Harvard in 2018.
