Tricycle driver shot dead by his girlfriend’s husband

In Bacolod City, a driver of an electric tricycle named Rommel Reyes, 36-years-old was shot dead by the suspect named Rommel Ayson, 24-years-old. The unfortunate incident took place at Hillside Subdivision, Barangay Mansilingan.

Bombo Radyo Bacolod reported that Reyes was fatally shot while he was driving his motorcycle. The victim was shot four times which led to his sudden death.

According to a witness (requested not to reveal his identity) who was in the area during the incident, the victim was even talking to him. After a while, he excused himself to pee when the suspect suddenly shot the victim and he was hit in the shoulder.

The next shot hit the victim’s chest which caused him to be on his knees. He was then shot again twice where the bullets hit his head which resulted to his death on the scene.

In a hot pursuit operation conducted by the police officers of Bacolod City Police Station 7, the suspect was arrested at as Palmas Subdivision, Barangay Taculing. Ayson turned out to be a resident of Barangay Blumentritt, Murcia.

According to Police Senior Inspector Ramil Sarona, the commander of Police Station 7, the wife of Ayson informed them of his whereabouts. A .38 caliber pistol was recovered in Ayson’s possession when he was arrested.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Ayson claimed that his wife and Reyes is having an affair. He further said that on Saturday, his wife and their 2-year-old child were not able to go home after the two stayed with the victim.

On the other hand, there are also reports that claim that Reyes is also living in with someone older than him. However, he clarifies that he is willing to face the charges filed against him.
